Four beautiful adobe meditation benches, each with two seating docks for two, are the foundation of the Allyu Spa’s meditation and holding room. Echoing the touch of massage, the benches are all sensually soothing. The following pictures depict the process of constructing the Allyu Meditation Benches with recycled construction debris and adobe mortars. The initial construction of these benches began before the sub flooring and the mesquite floors were laid. The foundation of the benches is made of concrete ripped up to lay the pipes for the spa. Recycling construction materials is labor intensive, back breaking work! Totally worth it! Used Brick, Scrap wood, styrofoam packaging, Ceiling tiles, drywall, rubble, glass blocks, concrete, blood, sweat, and tears, are all mortared together with a lime-stabilized clay adobe.
